The rigid arc-welded steel structure feed-straightener is composed of an upper and lower roller and a raised platform which contains the hydraulic control unit and the kinematics for vertical adjustment.
These machines rest on adjustable feet and are connected to the press bench by means of vertically sliding guides.
The upper roller group contains both the drawing and levelling rollers and is driven by two hydraulic actuators that push it against the lower rollers. These rollers can be completely opened during the tooling stage. In fact they automatically open by just a few millimetres during the stamping phases where pilot bars are fitted. The lower rollers are all motorised by an oil bath chain transmission which is operated by a brushless servomotor with precision reducer. The adjustment of the levelling roller is made by means of a pair of angle transmission or by a twin reducer system. The pitch control is entrusted to an encoder with a metric wheel that is forced against the sheet metal by a variable pressure pneumatic system with pressure gauge. The feeder control is entirely electronic by means of an ergonomic and user-friendly display that is incorporated into the electrical cabinet on the machine. The machine can perform pitches of different sizes even negative, and is equipped with a dimension and piece counter display, the speed as well as the acceleration of the pitch can also be set. Several different configurations can be stored, which can be called-up each time that a specific process needs to be performed.
